Playmates

Joshua and Joe were playing
In the snow one cold winter day.
When out of the snow they built
A third partner with which to play.

They dressed him with a top hat,
Placed a carrot for his nose.
They didn't need to give him shoes
For he didnt have any toes.

For many days they pretended
He was a friend and mate.
But then the sun came out
And their snowman met his fate.

How their heart was broken
To lose their friend that way.
Happy later to discover
He would return with the next snow day.
